When technology replaces workers as in the case of embly line technology advances the wages for workers drop. So the supply of say a skilled artisan toy maker disappears if the work can be done at near qualitiy in a fraction of the time. You kind of asking more than one thing though since changes in technology shift labor markets all together. Computers didn't replace armies of corporate secretaries for example, it just changed their job skill requirements.
