How to increase Psat/Sat score?

I am a sopre, and I took the Psat in October without any studying and got 47 CR, 53 M, and 50 W. I was really upset with those grades so I starting studying. I took a practice Sat in the CollegeBoard book and got 540 CR, 650 M, and 560 W. I know that inevitably my scores will have to increase with repetition, but can anyone suggest certain techniques, or things I should do to increase my scores to 700+ in every section.
