Spiritually speaking, what is happening here?

My parents dont want me hanging out at my friends place,they say his parents are too secretive, suspicious and have this room that is forbidden to enter. Because of this and the fact their from Syria, they think they are Islamic terrorists. My friend doesn't speak about this room much, other than its his "dads office". Should I worry when I visit his house, or whats the deal?
