The immigration asked for the original copy of my I-94, can i get it back if my application was denied?

bec i applied for a student visa and they asked for the original copy. what if i had to go back to the phil bec the date on my I-94 will soon expire, can i get my I-94 back? how? i need to surrender that when i leave the US
