Back of neck hurts HELP!!?

Oh my gosh it hurts SO much ...it hurts at the top by the head you know were your suppose to cover your neck if theres a earth quake at school or whatever and its the most sensitive part of the neck well it hurt there and my neck hurts when i pull it back cause my head just wants to fall of back words and its hurted for like 1 year and my mom says it will go away but it wont and it mostley hurts at night please help!
